Yoga Retreat - Huzur Vadisi

TURKEY

28th June to 5th July 2010

Living Yoga
A week of Dynamic Flow and Yin Practice.

The week will involve a dynamic flowing morning practices using postures to strengthen, tone and open the body whilst developing stamina and vitality. The afternoon sessions will be a meditative yin practice, encouraging length and strength within the muscles and deep tissues of the body.

It is the aim of this week of yoga to develop the feeling of stillness and ease whilst being physically challenged within dynamic sequences and postures using the breath and insights gained from gentler Yin and meditation practice.

Although not based on the Iyengar asana approach we will refer to B.K.S Iyengars book ‘Light on Life’ to supply a structure to how we can achieve wholeness and inner peace in yoga practice and our lives.

Resources will be available to continue your practice beyond the retreat i.e instruction sheets for asana, pranayama and meditation.

The week is suitable for beginner to intermediate level. The Dynamic sequences will not involve advanced postures but will be challenging. Therefore a good basic level of fitness is required.

There will be plenty of time to enjoy the pleasures of the Huzur Vadisi and beyond.

Harpers and Queen

"A perfect balance between rusticity and comfort. It's easy to see the hand of the artist at work - the vibrant colours in the furnishings and rugs, the beautiful hand painted soap dishes, the stained glass in the bathroom - all the little touches that make a difference. You have perfectly enhanced the magic of this beautiful valley.'
